These are mainly just things I’m writing down so I won’t forget, for use on my headless Ubuntu install.
To kill a process, first we need to find the PID…
ps -e | grep [program-name]
Now that we know the PID, we can kill it…
sudo kill [PID]

Seeing as this blog has the name of a Pokemon in it, I suppose it’s about time for a Pokemon post!
PokeMMO is a new spin on a classic game. It uses the actual Pokemon Fire Red Version GBA game ROM, and allows you to play through the story with friends and strangers all over the world! You can have as little interaction as you like, or you can jump right in to all of the features, including trading Pokemon (money and items coming soon too), battling others, and more!
After the break, I’ll tell you how to set up the game, as well as how to make some minor modifications to get the best out of it!
While Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” is currently all the rage, I’m finding myself more partial to a remix of this song, by an artist named 3LAU. It’s called Petty Language, so go check it out! (Link after the break!)
Decided to redo my desktop with a Kingdom Hearts theme. Counting down to graduation!
Every moment you blink
You’re missing a second of life
The seconds add up to days
Days you’ve been asleep
Asleep at the wheel
The wheel goes unturned but the ship still sails
Sailing along daydreams
Dreaming among the stars
Reaching for the light
Lighting up the world
Filling the world with life
I mixed quite a few Rainmeter themes here, plus I used a Windows Shell modification.
I’m currently unsure of what friendship is defined as. Is it different for every person (or group of people)?
I’m the type of guy who loves conversation, and it seems like such a thing is rare, even among my peers who I would typically call friends. Is it wrong for me to want more from them? I feel tolerated, not accepted.
Note: I don’t know if this does have a proper name or not, but I’d love to be enlightened on it.
During my most recent semester of school, I found myself disliking a specific teacher. I was not fond of her teaching style, which seemed to be giving students a task and then letting them run wild with it. However, this dislike enhanced due to my peers also having a bitter taste from her lessons, and not a single student liked her; most even went so far to say that they hate her. It wasn’t until another student started saying nothing but positive things about this instructor that I began to think differently. She described the teacher as “lassez-faire,” which put an entirely new perspective on my thoughts toward her.
I’m actually going to start up my site today. Wish me luck!
